MARCH AGAINST THE TPPA    On the 29th March 2014 a series of marches were held across New Zealand protesting the secrecy surrounding the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement, an impending international agreement currently being negotiated by the New Zealand Government, the Government of the United States and eleven other nations in the Asia-Pacific Region.

If it goes ahead, the agreement would allow extraordinary power to large corporations, risking damage to our environment, economy, health, food-systems, and ability to shape our decisions and future.  Protesters were demanding that the T.P.P.A. negotiation texts be released to the public and provide evidence of concrete benefits to outweigh the potentially crippling costs.

You can find out more about the T.P.P.A. here www.itsourfuture.org.nz/
